Praying for Fish

Stock fishing. We overfish. If we want to fish responsibly we’ll need to establish fish farms that self-replenish for all of our fishing needs and leave wild fishing to the sea. Wild fishing should be strictly commercially limited internationally in favor of fish farming. This can ensure fish stocks remain high and limit and make accountable the levels of mercury in seafood. Mercury pollution from power plants and industry should be curtailed severely.

Research should be conducted into the medicinal powers of faith and prayer. Faith is demonstrated as by far more powerful than modern medicine or antibiotics.

Human Population and Moore's Law

Moore's Law states that CPU processor speeds will double every 18 months, and has been remarkably in effect since the early 1980's. Anyone living in the 1980's would tell you that it was very unlikely or impossible to meet that trend, and it has continually surprised us that we have been able to meet it at all. 1994. 1998. 2003. Still ticking.

I believe that a similar principle applies for the earth's ability to sustain life with the use of our technology. Nicholas Nickelby was a story from a hundred or two years ago that commented on the crowded state of London. At the time it must have contained over a million people. Today it contains more than 7 million people. Who thought it possible? Indeed, with ancient technologies it would be impossible to meaningfully sustain 7 million people on 50-60 square miles. But today it is commonplace, and despite certain problems, profitable.

We also have vast stretched of basically uninhabited land out there in the world. We crowd around cities on riverways and ports and train old track crossings because of our fragile social systems of money and labor. As our technology and society advances, we will be able to populate the planet further than this, and further than that. Overcrowding is an artificial condition. Total population X social/technological desperation = crowding. Eventually, I see no problems with the planet, and the solar system in particular, sustaining 20 billion people.

New systems of agriculture and power generation, water purification, transportation, industrial pollutant abatement, and social/civil service generation and education can make a planet with 20 billion people on it feasable, and ecologically sound. Even pleasant. For technological details not specifically formatted to maximum population, examine the home links found in the right side toolbar.

"Exposure to pesticides – even at relatively low levels – may increase an individual’s risk of developing Parkinson’s disease by 70%, according to a study of more than 140,000 people. Researchers say that the findings strengthen the hypothesis that such chemicals somehow promote the development of the disease."

Most pesticides are known or suspected carcinogens and taste very bad. They are a kill-all replacement for a healthy ecosystem. If you want a better lawn or farm, either build greenhouses and keep the pests out literally, or buy dragonflies and keep starlings and bats. Dragonflies, starlings and bats are cheaper than using pesticide and they add to an ecosystem. They are ecomedicine.

Or consider an alternative lawn. They're out there.

Buying Pollution

Under new mercury laws, some power plants are allowed to buy credits that enable them to pollute more. This is unacceptable unless they also agree to buy liability for the pollution related lawsuits, land destruction and impurification, fishkills, and dampening effect on the area and world. Which I would never sell them.

Pollution is failure.

Long has the public been slightly concerned about the presence of mercury and other insolvents in innoculations. This doctor has pointed it out and linked it to autism. His statement is rejected and he is cited by gov/medical associations. He deserves a fair shake and a real investigation into the contents of immunizations. I refuse to be immunized with anything containing non-biological particles, or any biological particles not inteded for medicinal use.

Join this pledge.

Urban greenspaces improve air quality, according to NPR. Scientists have recently discovered that rats living in ultra-hygenic environments, or ones with considerable air pollution, are more prone to develop allergies than rats in the wild.

Building rooftop gardens in urban environments will help us clean the air in our cities, reducing the incidence of illness. Reducing the amount of pollution coming from dirty power plants and industry by decentralization, EPA code enforcement, and solar and hydrogen power sources will also clean our environments. You can improve air quality standards by converting your car or truck, too! Or by telling Honda and other automakers to do it for you on a new car!

The world is waiting.

UV LED Sterilizes Water

I am so pleased that this can be done. An efficient light source to sterilize water. The solar cooker will do the same job, and i just recently discovered that nanotubes can also filter water very efficiently.

If these ~8mm nanotubes can filter out viruses, we should build and distribute billions of them for free throughout the world. Clean water is one of the primary supportive goals of mankind, and providing it will reduce medical expenditure and suffering a billion times over.

The UV sterilizer might be a good idea as well, with a fixture at the top and simple instructions and warnings. The solar cooker is a fine method to provide sterile water, and may be the cheapest of the three.

Examine the Two Million Wells project for details about how we can give the world pure water and cheap cooking methods.

Improving world health is an important way to express love for one another. Long and good life is one of the chief fundamental goals of humanity, which is love of self, which mirrors the way God loves us, which is good.

We can improve health by improving the environment. Clean air promotes respiratory and body health. A clean environment and sources of food and water help our natural health maintain. A healthy outlook and lifestyle help our ways and days sustain us properly. Our social and bodyelectric health is affected by what we do and how we live. We can maintain good health by being good.

By changing the way we generate electrical power and the way we grow foods we can help keep our environment and bodies clean. This will reduce the incidence of illness requiring sociomedical attetion and improve the feeling of our lives.

Many people in the world do not have steady access to clean water. The Two Million Wells project aims to provide them with that water from their own land and to give them safer cleaner ways to cook their food.

We can reduce the severity and incidence of cancer first by environmental measures, second by agricultural and behavioral methods, and third by direct treatments. LOX is an intracellular communicator saying 'I am not getting enough oxygen.' By blocking this communicator, cancer will never metastasize. From there it can be treated more effectively with anhydrous hydrogen peroxide treatment, autoimmune stimulation, other biocommunications, chemotherapy, and surgical self-donation or removal.
